It is here that Rita found her voice. Before the awards, before national television, before becoming one of Canada’s most beloved voices, Rita MacNeil was writing songs inside activist spaces. She was performing at protests, organizing alongside women, and exploring themes of identity, independence, and autonomy through music.</span></p> </div> </div>
