Hommage à Bach: Kanahi Yamashita Muzewest Concerts and the Vancouver Classical Guitar Society are pleased to present Berlin-based Japanese guitarist Kanahi Yamashita in an afternoon tracing Bach's long reach into the guitar repertoire. Described as a “master of the new generation”, Japanese classical guitarist Kanahi Yamashita is celebrated for her controlled technique, fearless musical imagination, and groundbreaking transcriptions. Kanahi performed since childhood with her celebrated father Kazuhito Yamashita and made her solo debut at age 13. The award-winning Kanahi promises a concert of rare brilliance, intensity, and unforgettable artistry.
