Performing: Basset, Mia Kelly

Mia Kelly writes songs the way other people write confessions — raw, precise, and impossible to look away from. The Gatineau-based singer-songwriter blends folk, rock, and blues into something that feels both intimate and expansive, weaving the stories of the people around her into music that hits hard. Her 2024 album To Be Clear, co-produced with Jim Bryson (The Tragically Hip, Kathleen Edwards), earned critical acclaim worldwide and four Capital Music Awards nominations — taking home Single of the Year and Video of the Year. She's a two-time Canadian Folk Music Award winner, a Jeux de la Francophonie finalist, and a fixture at stages from Winnipeg Folk Festival to Tallinn Music Week. Simply put: catch her now, before the rooms get much bigger. Opening act Basset brings timeless folk harmonies and deeply human storytelling to open the evening. Toronto duo Yasmine Shelton and Sam Clark turn heads with Shelton's soaring, acrobatic voice and Clark's nuanced guitar work — think Simon & Garfunkel warmth with a road-worn authenticity all their own. Their CFMA-nominated album In The Clay caught the ear of CBC's Tom Power, and their live show is equal parts sincere and disarmingly funny. A perfect way to start the night.
