You may have never FELT music like this before ! SEATING IS LIMITED for this exclusive intimate concert. Tickets will NOT be available at the door. I will be performing a solo concert on FELT piano on Tuesday October 6, 2026 at 7:00 pm. This concert will be at St Andrews River Heights United Church in Winnipeg. (Wheelchair Accessible - outside ramp/indoor elevator). We are in a smaller, more intimate setting in the lounge at St Andrews River heights. It's a lovely room with a FELT piano. The evening will be comprised of original compositions performed by Danny, plus a special appearance by l'aura Carroll joining Danny on a couple of tunes with a crystal singing bowl and Rav (tongue drum). The Felt piano has a soft, hushed tone, produced by a piece of felt that is situated between the hammers and the strings, providing a muted ambience. Below is a preview of the Felt Piano where I am playing a composition of mine called Samsara Drifting. https://youtu.be/bDHU_gkfv4s?si=0B12R-g9KeeKu2dZ Pianist Danny Carroll is a seasoned Manitoba artist and performer. At the core of all of the music he composes and plays is a soulful expression of musically ‘thinking in sound’. His original music combines many different genres (jazz, neo-classical (akin to Olafur Arnalds, Nils Frahm and Max Richter), classical-crossover, electronic instruments) and improvisation into a very accessible and unique musical voice. Interwoven throughout the music are Danny's insightful thoughts and humorous stories from his life's journey. Winnipeg Free Press “Carroll has composed genre-blurring works that have elements of classical, new age, jazz and electronics meant to keep the ‘ol ticker beating from one life-affirming moment to the next.”In the Spotlight – CJNU Radio “Very relaxing stuff, very therapeutic. Puts you in a good mind set. … a beautiful album he has put together.” Danny’s music has been heard in many Winnipeg theatre productions: Royal Manitoba Theatre Centre, Prairie Theatre Exchang
